Anny started drawing people when she was still a toddler and excelled in art throughout her school career. She lives in an old secluded farmhouse in the Karoo where the silence and solitude provides ample time for reflection. This quiet reflective quality is always evident in her work, as is her sensitive yet powerful spirit. The uncomplicated forms and monochromatic tones of the Klein Karoo environment are inspiration for the subtle colours she uses in her pastel paintings.
