A painter of landscapes, portraits, still life, seascapes and figures. Work in oil, watercolour, ink, wash, pencil and charcoal. A graphic artist, producing linocuts.
A founding member of the New Group and for a decade Chairman. For six years he was the Cape Town SAAA Representative on the Board of the SA National Gallery, Cape Town. Issued a limited edition portfolio of six watercolour and ink drawings of District Six, Cape Town. Visited Venice. Son of D. C. Boonzaier (qv).
